We repair the bridge, shell, and hinge on plastic frames. Most of the hinges are metal and we will be able to repair them. If you are unsure, bring them in and we can let you know.

Yes, we can take that old metal frame that is damaged or peeling and make it look like new. There is no need to go out and purchase a new pair of spectacles. We can paint or tint your frames, so they look brand new. We have mastered the art, so your paint will last. The old paint is stripped from the frame, and then an under coat is applied. The frames are baked in a special oven for half an hour. Then, the frame is repainted and baked again for another half an hour. The final step includes an anti-allergy coating to protect your skin and another half an hour bake. Once it is done, they will look like they came right off the shelf.

Yes, the solder will be grounded off and the metal cleaned from the frame. It usually costs between $ 10 and $ 25 dollars depending on how they are. We can call you with an estimate for the clean and repair once you drop them off.

The glue will need to be removed by one of or MigiTech specialists. They will decontaminate the metal and then repair them. It will cost between $ 5 and $ 20 to clean the frames and then the cost of the repair. You can bring them in for an estimate.

This is called a “hinge rebuild” and it usually costs around $ 60 to $ 110 dollars to repair. It does depend on whether it is a double or a single hinge and the location where the hinge is broken. You will be able to get an estimate before you get the repair done.

Titanium frames are different from other metal frames in that they are highly reactive. They require special treatment. They come in the same styles as other metals; however the weld on titanium frames has to be done inside an Argon chamber to prevent oxidation while the frames are being welded.

Many opticians cannot repair titanium frames because they don’t have the equipment that can weld the framed in an Argon chamber. MigiTech has the proper equipment and the expertise needed to repair titanium frames as well as other metal frames. They will try to repair the frames with a torch and that can oxidize or corrode the titanium spectacles frame.

A laser with the Argon chamber is the method that is the safest when repairing spectacles. That is because it uses only a little heat and that prevents oxidation of the metal. Oxidation will cause the metal to dull and loose its shine. Most of the people that receive a repair from MigiTech can’t see where the frames have been repaired. Plus, we automatically align them, so you don’t have to go back to your optician.

Most repairs take only between three to five days to repair. Therefore, you will be able to get your glasses back fast.

Shipping the glasses is a lot easier than trying to find local shop that will be able to repair your particular model and metal type. Local shops usually do not have the proper tools or stock as many parts. That is why it is just easier to ship it to us and we will take care of the rest.

It is really easier than you may think. All you have to do is use the shopping cart to identify the style of spectacles that you have. Fill out the easy form that tells us the style and the needed repairs. Then, ship them to us in an insured and sturdy box. Make sure to include your form.

Once we get the spectacles, we look them over and verify the order. If there is an issue, we will contact you right away. The glasses are repaired within three or four days after they arrive and then they are shipped right back to you priority mail.

When we are repairing your spectacles, we protect your lenses so that they won’t be scratched, broken, or damaged. Plus, if the frames need to be welded, the lenses will be removed until the process is complete.

There are some occasions where the spectacles are just too far gone to repair. In this case, we will contact you immediately and let you know. We inspect them right away; so that we can get the process started for you or let you know that they are unrepairable.

We align the frame for you and this cannot be done without the lenses. Plus, we want to offer you the easiest way possible and this way you don’t have to do anything.

We would suggest that you leave the lenses in and send them with the glasses. We will be careful not to damage the lens, so don’t worry about ship them with your glasses. Just ship the frames with the lenses all together and we will get them repaired and back to you.

We will take excellent care of your spectacles. When they get here, they will be examined using our state-of-the-art laser system that uses 50x magnification. This process is to ensure that there are no small fractures that may not be visible to the naked eye.

We locate the breakage point and then carefully clean that area. The laser system is then used to weld them back together. This will take place in an Argon chamber so that the metal does not oxidize from other methods.

This welding process is precise and it is designed to expose your glasses to as little heat as possible. The heat is so low that the repairman can hold the glasses with their bare hands while the process is being done.

The final product will leave your spectacles looking as good as new.

We take pride in our work and we want you to be happy with our work. Therefore, we guarantee your repair for 90 days. If your glasses break during that time period, we will repair them again for free.
